Elegant wedding at Rathfinny Wine Estate, Sussex

If there is one thing we love most about wedding days, it’s seeing our couples’ family and friends come together to celebrate their love. Sophie and Will’s wedding day was one of those days that left us buzzing. It was a perfect summer day, full of colour, love and cheer. They tied the knot in Sophie’s family’s local parish and followed that with a stunning reception at Rathfinny Wine Estate, Sussex.

We are so happy for you both Sophie and Will - wishing you both all the happiness in your married life together!

Sophie got ready at her parents’ home in Sussex surrounded by her parents, grandmother and bridesmaids. It was such a relaxed and fun morning, with cupcakes and champagne. And how stunning is her Jesus Perio dress and veil?

One of my favourite moments of the day, when her dad popped into check everything was going alright.

We took some time before the cars arrived to capture some portraits around her parents’ garden.

All the flowers for their wedding were locally grown and sourced. Sophie’s mom made the bouquets herself as well - she did such a wonderful job creating these organic, flowing designs.

Will got ready at the Rathfinny Estate surrounded by his parents and groomsmen. Super organised, he started the morning with a prep chat with all his groomsmen, running through all the days logistics ahead.

Sophie had arranged for her bridesmaids to arrive in vintage VW buses, while she arrived in a vintage Fiat 500 with her father.

Waiting to go into the church, a special moment between Sophie and her dad.

The perfect ceremony send off - champagne and well-wishes from family and friends.

We stopped on the way to the reception to take some couple portraits around the Rathfinny Wine Estate. The views are stunning - to the south, you can see all the way to the sea - and around around you is winery and meadow.

A place truly beyond belief.

That just married glow in the mid-day light!

After capturing these portraits, we headed back to the Rathfinny Estate’s Flint Barns where the guests were waiting at the cocktail hour reception. It was really a perfect summer day for drinks outside before dinner.

Their guests were treated to not only the most delicious canapés, but also the most wonderful Rathfinny sparkling wine. We couldn’t leave Sussex without taking two bottles home with us — what a treat their rosé brut is!

Sophie and Will love travelling the world — their table names were some of their favourite locations.

We snuck Sophie and Will away for a quick evening portrait session. These are some of our favourite moments in the day - they allow our couples a bit of quiet time just for the two of them.

After dinner guests were invited into the courtyard for coffee and tea while the reception space was readied for dancing. Sophie and Will cut their beautiful cake before guests were invited back in for the first dance.
