Los Angeles, California — captured on 35mm film

Wherever we travel, we always bring our cameras with us, searching for that perfect light and setting. California brings that in spades. Its light is warm, and somehow intense and soft. We both love the aesthetic - especially the more mid-century design vibes that are so prevalent throughout the state. Have we ever mentioned how much we love Palm Springs as well?

We were in California this February to capture a wedding in Marina del Rey, so naturally we had to pack a few rolls of film (is there any other way to travel?). These were all shot around LA in February on our Canon EOS 3 on a mix of Kodak Portra 400 and Kodak Gold - two film stocks that were surely created for this magical Californian light.
